5 Tips For Increasing The Number Of JV Partners For Your Product Launch

I am beginning to see why some of the bigger name marketers are so busy. Every day, my inbox is filled with new JV proposals and new products ready to launch.

Some marketers wait until their product is completely finished before getting the word out, and then they tell people with only two days before the launch that they are ready to launch.

Most of my friends don’t even talk about a product unless they’ve been given a month to get set up, let alone write an email campaign and add bonuses.

So if you are ready to start creating products and want to find JV partners, here is what you should do:

TIP #1

Prepare a long time for the launch:

I hate telling people no, but I also don’t want to overextend my welcome with my community. So in order to make it a win-win for my own customers, I have to schedule the products I am going to promote at least 2 weeks out. Products that I can find out about over a month away, I can even add bonuses and really go all out for the promotion.

TIP #2

Prepare as many tools as you can for your JV partners:

I watched Rob Toth set up a terrific launch by having everything that a partner could want ready and tested in the partners area. People did not have to spend a whole lot of time thinking about how to promote, they just grabbed the code and off they went.

TIP #3

Test the process:

When you get your JV partners all excited about your product and they send out an email to 10,000 of their best buyers and your page doesn’t convert, you rarely ever get another chance to have that person promote your product. Many of my friends like to take the product and send their house list to it, while they tweak and test conversion.

Using Adwords to test your sales page is also a good idea, since many of your partners will be wanting to use Adwords to get additional sales, and if you can get 2% or better conversion from Adwords, your partners will be really happy when they load your offer with their bonuses.

TIP #4

Ask for help:

When I get a call from one of my friends and they ask me to look at their sales page to see what I think of it, they rarely have to wonder if I will help them promote it as well. Asking for help is a great way to get people to take ownership of your cause and join in. Now it is not always a good idea to bother everyone when you are only in the planning stages, it is usually a good thing once your product is ready and you want to make sure you are still on the right track.

TIP #5

Ask for bonuses:

If you add even more value to your product during launches, you are more likely to make sales, so if you contact partners who have related products, you can get some good bonuses for your customers and the partners get more people using their products. You can even have customers register to download the bonus, so that partners are getting buyers added to their lists.

Overall, the strategies for getting a product launched are common sense, but in the midst of the chaos that we are often involved, we tend to forget some or all of these and just get the product out. But we leave money on the table in a big way!

Don’t get me wrong, action cures all problems, but focused and strategic action is the best.

Is Virtual Property Flipping For You?

Virtual Real Estate (VRE) sounds cool, doesn’t it? Thing is, a lot of us have absolutely no clue what it entails. We brandish the word around and expect people to understand what we are talking about.

Ask 15 different people what they think it means and you will get 14 different answers…

In a broad definition, Virtual Real Estate is the buying and selling of domains and websites. Basically you are buying a domain or website in the hopes of adding value to it so that other people will want to pay you more for it than you paid.

This means more than just parking a domain.

I have friends like Mark Ress who make a good living just “domaining” where they look at domain auctions for names that have potential, buy them and set up a website on them that adds even more value and then then reap the rewards of reselling them.

If you park a domain, you are basically allowing the traffic that normally occurs for it to get routed to adsense or affiliate ads, without giving value to the reader. Search engines penalize these and so do the courts of law. If one of your domains that you have parked is a product, brand or company name, the company owning the name can sue you for control of that domain and win in most cases. Because you are not placing any value on that domain.

Same situation, but if your domain has a website and you can document earnings from that website, a court is likely to allow you to keep that domain (or let you sell it at a premium).

Flipping Domains!

With the success of Flip This House on the Discovery Channel, people are investing time and money to upgrade homes that they purchased at a deflated price (because of the need for repair) and end up reselling for a much higher price after the renovations and improvements!

Now bring that concept into the VRE world!

Buying websites that have been around a while, not really performing, and fixing them up to resell at a better price is another VRE method that is very lucrative if you do it correctly. My friend Ben Shaffer from Israel is developing a training course on Website Flipping that he calls Project Archimedes. This will revolutionize the market, because it will teach many new site flippers the real way to make money from flipping sites. Dark Forces Stir VRE World

Someone you should be checking out in the Virtual Real Estate field is Howie Schwartz. He uses white, grey and black hat techniques to build massive traffic to his VRE sites and affiliate programs. By simply adding a blog to your domain and building a whole lot of Web 2.0 websites all pointing to your blog, you can increase the value of a domain 100 fold in a matter of days!

Simply increasing the page rank of a website can mean the difference between selling a domain for $27 or selling it for $27,000,000! Think about it. You have a domain like http://4aweber.com and instead of just redirecting it to the aweber website, you create a blog that discusses the pros and cons of aweber. Then you build the pagerank (I use the term pagerank loosely, because it does not necessarily need to be Google’s PR, you can have it show up on the first page of all the search engines, to me that is ranking) for that website via a campaign of Web2.0 sites and article publishing.

Momentous Occasion!

Once you build a tremendous momentum for that site, you are in the driver’s seat as to the price you can sell that domain/website combination. You can use ebay or a private reseller to get the highest price for the site.

Ben Shaffer reveals a lot of the mechanics for making the sale and getting the most for your site in Project Archimedes. You will also see a lot of great resources for finding these sites and locating the owners. One of the side effects for this is that you can actually get the current owners to pay you to pimp up their website (often more money than you would have gotten for flipping it) to help increase the value of it for them!

That is all I have to cover with you on VRE for now, but I will be covering more before the launch of Project Archimedes.

I hope that now that you are armed with a little bit more information about Virtual Real Estate and Website Flipping, you can become more aware of opportunities around you.

Articles are important for a number of reasons. I personally do not write nearly as often as I should. It is not something I feel should be outsourced unless you only care about getting traffic to your website. But here are my top 3 reasons you should be submitting articles to EzineArticles.com on a regular basis:

You want to establish yourself as an authority on a topic. People use EzineArticles to get material for their blogs, ebooks and as research for their own projects. If you have a large body of work on a topic, you immediately stand out as someone who has done the necessary legwork and research in the topic, and at the same time become the obvious expert in the field.
You want to get the word out about a particular subject. You may feel very strongly about a subject and not enough is being talked about in that niche. By writing articles and submitting them to EzineArticles.com, the topic will be picked up by many syndication websites in your niche, giving the topic more exposure while getting your name out there as the person to talk to about your subject.
You want traffic that pulls in sales to your own or someone else’s product (for commissions). PS - I also recommend taking each article and repurposing it to a video and a podcast and using Traffic Geyser (another submission tool that will reach thousands of websites to drive traffic back to your landing pages) to create video landing pages for the ultimate list building and traffic converting system you can find. The monthly investment for these tools is easily replaced by the commissions you will be earning in a very short time, especially if you are taking action to completion on each article that you do.

It is important that when you write each article that you immediately record the video and podcast and submit them. Only when you have done this a few times will it begin to be easy and you will not even give it a second thought.
